Co-organised by the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum, the Hong Kong Policy Research Institute(HKPRI) and 18 other institutions, the 11th Social Enterprise Summit (SES 2018) was held from 22nd to 26th November, 2018. In total, the three-day symposium drew 72 distinguished speakers and over 3,200 delegates from social enterprises, government, businesses, academia and the civic society from 20 countries and areas around the world.

The Social Enterprise Summit of Hong Kong was founded by the Hong Kong Policy Research Foundation (HKPRF) in 2008 to advocate social innovation and entrepreneurship, when social enterprises began to attract attention in many places of the world as a solution to the various social and development challenges. HKPRF provided the funding and administrative support to the Summit through HKPRI. In 2014, with the Summit becoming a more independent operation of its own, HKPRF transferred the Summit’s project management to the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum. HKRPI has continued to act as one of the Co-organisers and Sponsors since then.
