Co-organised by the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum and 20 other institutions, the 12th Social Enterprise Summit (SES 2019) was held from 21 to 25 November, 2019. In total, the three-day symposium drew 82 distinguished speakers and over 3,700 delegates from social enterprises, governments, businesses, academia and the civic society from 15 countries and areas around the world.

The Social Enterprise Summit of Hong Kong was founded and sponsored by Hong Kong Policy Research Institute (HKPRI) in 2008 to advocate social innovation and entrepreneurship, when social enterprises began to attract attention in many places of the world as a solution to the various social and development challenges. By 2014, with the Summit becoming a big international annual event sponsored by the HKSAR Government and business enterprises, HKPRI transferred the Summit’s operation to the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum. HKPPI has continued to act as one of the Co-organisers and Sponsors since then.
