"The Development of Great Bay Area– Opportunities and Challenges for Professionals in Hong Kong" Symposium

The symposium was held at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) on March 16, 2019 and co-organised by the Hong Kong Vision Project of Hong Kong Policy Research Institute, the Hong Kong Ideas Centre and the Hong Kong University Graduates Association. 


Professor Terry Kit-fong Au (Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, HKU) was present as officiating guest. Mr. Antony Leung (Group Chairman & CEO of Nan Fung Group, former Financial Secretary of HKSAR) delivered the keynote speech. The panel speakers included Mr. Yeung Pak-sing (Founder and Managing Director of World Power Investment Limited, China Projects Engineer of China Light and Power Company Limited), Prof. TSE, Kenneth K. T. (Institute Fellow of APIB,The Chinese University of Hong Kong, former Managing Director of Yantian International Container Terminals), Mr. Chan Chak Ming (Consultant of Anthony Siu & Co. Solicitors & Notaries, Vice -president of The Law Society of Hong Kong), Ms. LAI Wai Ha (Deputy Director of China Affairs, HKU) and Mr. Lau Fong ( General Manager -- eCommerce, Trinity (Management Services Limited) who shared their experiences of working in the Mainland. The speakers analysed the opportunities and challenges for Hong Kong professionals in the development of the Great Bay Area. About 250 people attended the Symposium.
